About the Webinar

In this on-demand webinar, we are joined by faculty members from the University of Delaware Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program for a panel discussion on the importance of NMES for post-operative knee patients with an emphasis on tendon healing and necessary load needed to optimize tendon regeneration. The group will also discuss normalizing quadriceps activity after BTB graft removal. Panel members include Karin Grävare Silbernagel, PT, ATC, PhD; Airelle Giordano, PT, DPT, SCS, OCS; Naoaki Ito, PT, DPT; and your host and Enovis™ Recovery Sciences Director of Clinical Education, Mark Callanen, PT, DPT, OCS. Grävare Silbernagel, Giordano, and Ito are actively conducting research on the topic of quad function and tendon pathology at the University of Delaware.

Associate Professor & Director of Clinical Services and Residency Training, University of Delaware Physical Therapy Clinic

Dr. Airelle Giordano is a Board Certified Sports and Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and Associate Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. She has a Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware.

Dr. Naoaki Ito is a Physical Therapist and postdoctoral research associate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His dissertation focused on improving outcomes after ACL injury using biomechanical and imaging modalities.
